The Perry County sheriff’s office says a deadly crash Sunday morning claimed the life of a Kansas City man. Around 10:15 on northbound Interstate 55 at the 129.6 mile marker a single vehicle crash took the life of 69-year-old Kansas City, Missouri man was driving a Corvette northbound and lost control on the wet road. The vehicle hit a rock embankment. Troopers say the man was wearing a seat belt. A passenger was not injured. Northbound traffic was backed up for miles but was cleared by noon.
