Over the next several weeks, continued construction at Saint Francis Medical Center will lead to changes near the Gordonville Road and Saint Francis Drive intersection. The work will be done in four phases, according to a news release from the city. Phase 1, which prohibits left turns from Saint Francis Drive onto Gordonville Road and closes a portion of westbound Gordonville Road to through traffic, is in progress. Completion depends on weather and coordination with contractors. All businesses will remain open and accessible to the public by various means, even during road closures, said the city news release, but motorists should be aware of possible temporary entrance and exit changes to busineses in the area. The city also asks drivers use caution in the busy area, watch for detours and other road-sign changes and consider using alternate routes.
The remaining phases, which could be completed out of order, are: Phase 2: Left turn available from Saint Francis Drive on to Gordonville Road, portions of westbound Gordonville and northbound Saint Francis closed to through traffic; Phase 3: No right turn available onto Saint Francis from Gordonville Road, left turn available from Saint Francis onto Gordonville, Gordonville westbound lane open and eastbound lane closed to through traffic; Phase 4: Eastbound Gordonville closed to through traffic, no right turn from Saint Francis onto Gordonville.
