TODAY’S GENIUS AWARD GOES TO . . . . . . .
Mark Stenner, a West Boca High School principal, who was busted for plagiarizing his graduation speech.
Stenner was quickly outed because he was reading word-for-word from a speech that had recently gotten 10 million hits on YouTube.
A quick search of previous speeches determined that he also stole in prior years, including one that was listed in an online list of the “Top 10 commencement speeches ever.”
AND THEN THERE’S …..
Timothy Chapman, 35, a Massachusetts man who was stopped by police for evading a $2.10 public transport fare, even though he had $7,000 cash on him at the time.
Transit police stopped Chapman for attempting to “piggy-back” behind another paying customer who was walking through a turnstile.
After he was cited, police learned there was an arrest warrant out for Chapman for motor vehicle violations.
When he was booked police found $7,000 on him.
He was unable to explain why he had so much cash in his possession.
OR HOW ABOUT …..
Cameron Patrick Michael Duffy, 19, and Vincent J. Favazza, 17, who were arrested in FlorIda after they shot up a BMW that they mistakenly thought belonged to their foe.
Police say the teens were armed with shotguns and AK-47s when they spotted a parked car that looked like one that belonged to a teen they had beef with.
However, they targeted the wrong car and while no one was inside, they did cause several thousand dollars of damage that they will be forced to repay.
They were arrested on a variety of charges.
OKAY, ONE MORE …..
A 28-year-old KFC employee in Garfield Township, Michigan, who was upset after his boss told him to leave, so he went outside and set the trees on fire.
When he came into work, his boss immediately told him to leave because of “employee related issues” from the previous day’s shift.
He apparently thought he was being fired, so he went outside and set fire to the landscaping.
As the fire burned, he entered the store, shoved his female manager, and then broke into her car before fleeing.
The fire department got there quickly and managed to put out the fire.
The guy was arrested and charged with arson, breaking and entering into a vehicle, and assault.
We’re pretty sure he’s fired now.
