TODAY’S GENIUS AWARD GOES TO . . . . . . .

Christopher Trail, an Alabama man whose hostage standoff ended when he fell asleep and one of his hostages grabbed his gun.

Trail initially took seven people hostage inside a pharmacy, but the pharmacist talked him into letting the others go while she stayed behind as the sole hostage.

Trail agreed, but after about an hour, he began tiring out.

Trail pulled some chairs together, got comfy, and dozed off.

The pharmacist then picked up the shotgun and fled outside.

AND THEN THERE’S …..

Adam Hirtle, 30, a Colorado Springs man who shot himself in the foot just to find out what it felt like.

Hirtle told investigators he took his boot off and shot it, then placed his boot back on his foot and intentionally shot himself in the foot.

He did not sustain life-threatening injury, nor was anybody else injured.

Hirtle is suspected of prohibited use of weapons, reckless endangerment, and child abuse in the shooting.

For the record, this is the second time someone has shot their foot on purpose in 2015.

A 35-year-old man, in Spain, did the same thing in April.

OKAY, ONE MORE …..

Tara Greenfield, 29, a Florida mom who left two kids, ages 7 and 1, inside a running car for a couple of hours while she worked at a bar.

A manager at the bar called police after the 7-year-old went into the bar to get something and the one-year-old was not with him.

Greenfield said she couldn’t find a babysitter and thought the kids would be okay.

Oxycodone pills were found inside the vehicle near where the one-year-old was sitting, and a glass pipe with residue testing positive for cocaine was found inside Greenfield’s purse.

Greenfield was arrested and transported to jail.

She was charged with child neglect and possession of drug paraphernalia.

2 are in custody after an armed robbery in Cape… As much as I adore my Pope – I have to agree with Imhoffe here. This topic has NOTHING to do with the Catholic faith whatsoever. Global wamring and climate change are not significantly affected by man. Period.
