TODAY’S GENIUS AWARD GOES TO . . . . . . .
Joseph Murray, 32, a Florida man who led police on a high speed chase with his 4-year-old daughter in the car.
Police say Murray sped through a toll lane on the Florida turnpike without paying and touched off a chase.
When he encountered a traffic jam, he swerved off a highway ramp at the last second and slammed into a cop car.
He was arrested for aggravated assault, leaving the scene of a crash, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, and driving with a suspended license.
His daughter was released to a family member.
AND THEN THERE’S …..
Rhamses Silva, a Florida man who was arrested after posting an ad on Craigslist boasting he had “medical high grade top shelf” pot.
Undercover detectives responded to Silva’s ad and set up a meeting at a local strip mall.
After handcuffing him, they searched his car to find more marijuana, Adderall pills, and “various items of drug paraphernalia” in his car.
OR HOW ABOUT …..
A 35-year-old woman in Adelaide, Australia, who spent four days in the hospital because her skinny jeans were too tight.
The woman was recently helping someone move, and she wore skinny jeans.
She spent a few hours squatting to get stuff out of cabinets, and the combination of the jeans and the squatting made her lose feeling in her feet.
She was rushed to the hospital, and it took four days before she could walk again.
