A local group is helping others cope after heart procedures – and has been for 30 years!
Things have changed a bit since the President of Chapter 183 of the Mended Hearts Support Group, Judy Murray had her open heart surgery. Things have gotten simpler and less intrusive, but that doesn’t change how she copes with her experience. They host speakers on diet and nutrition and discuss new procedures. They welcome new members. They began this group in 1985 with the motto “It’s Great to be Alive and to Help Others”. They meet at 6pm. There is a small annual fee to join but guests are welcome.
