TODAY’S GENIUS AWARD GOES TO . . . . . . .
Melissa Ann Wright, who sustained severe frostbite around her mouth, chin and throat after she was caught inhaling a can of compressed air at a Kansas Wal-Mart.
Wright went into a Wal-Mart in Olathe, Kansas, grabbed some canned air that you use to clean computers with and started huffing it.
Some of the warnings on the product include shut down of your lungs and kidneys and instant frostbite to skin.
The mugshot after her arrest looks like she was badly burned.
She was charged with retail theft.
AND THEN THERE’S …..
Jordan Toner, 29, a Maine man who tried to photobomb a selfie while he was driving, lost control of his car, crashed into a tree and injured his passengers.
Toner was driving with seven passengers when he leaned over to join their photo.
Unfortunately he jerked the wheel and the car spun out several times.
The passengers suffered a variety of non-life threatening injuries and Toner was cited for distracted driving.
OR HOW ABOUT …..
David Spurlock, 29, an inmate in Arizona, who got arrested after failing to leave jail.
Spurlock was released on drug charges, but caused trouble when he refused to vacate the premises.
When Spurlock was finally out of the jail, he ran to a marked semi-truck belonging to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and unsuccessfully attempted to start it up.
Spurlock got his wish and is back in jail on a burglary charge and is being held without bond.
OKAY, ONE MORE …..
Julia Armijo, 20, and Renny Isaac, 23, who left behind a fast food receipt that led police to their arrest for trespassing.
The pair picked up a bag of fast food burgers and headed down to a nearby marina to enjoy them on a boat that wasn’t theirs.
They didn’t think the boat’s owners, a family of five, would be asleep on board.
The camera’s flash from their selfies awakened one family member, who startled Armijo and Issac and they left in such a rush that they left their sack of burgers behind.
Police officers were able to use the receipt, which was still inside the bag, to track down and arrest the duo with criminal trespass and breach of peace.
