Graffiti in Poplar Bluff seems to promote violence against police. Law enforcement officials say calls started coming in on Thursday after images were found at a skate park and parking garage downtown, and in at least two different spots along the running path through Hendrickson Park. The images were spray painted depictions of a handgun pointing at a policeman’s head. Police Chief Danny Whiteley says they are being investigated as a terroristic threat. Whiteley says the act is “very stupid” and the maximum prosecution will be sought. There is a $500 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
