The 75th annual SEMO District Fair kicks off with a packed-to-the-brim parade through town Saturday morning. Fair spokesman Pete Poe said the parade roster is fully booked with about 130 marching units. It begins at 9:30 in Capaha Park and will progress west on Broadway all the way to the fairgrounds. The parade used to be held on Monday, but organizers shifted it to Saturday morning last year.
