A Poplar Bluff man has been arrested in connection with an arson investigation. 50-year old Wade Stoutt was charged with two counts of second degree arson, making a terrorist threat and aggravated stalking. According to police, on the morning of Monday the 28th, there were two separate fires reported in the 1500 block of South 10th Street and the 900 block of Peach Street. Police say a preliminary scene investigation suggested that both fires were intentionally set. On Tuesday the 29th, police were dispatched to the Eagles Lodge on South Broadway in reference to a reported bomb threat. Employees claim a man claimed to have placed explosive devices inside the building. Stoutt was taken into custody without incident in the 900 block of Mulberry Street. He was taken to the Butler County Jail.
