TODAY’S GENIUS AWARD GOES TO . . . . . . .
Jorge Vasconcelos, 25, an Oklahoma man who wanted to prove his innocence after a traffic stop, so he told police to go ahead and search his truck… they did and found 17 pounds of heroin.
Vasconcelos got pulled over for swerving, and told the cops he was just tired.
They were about to let him go, until out of nowhere he said he wasn’t a criminal and they could search his truck.
When they did they found 17 pounds of heroin in the engine, with a street value of about $3 million.
AND THEN THERE’S …..
Waqas Khan, a 24-year-old British man, who was foolish enough to bring drugs with him to his court appearance.
Khan was recently acquitted of drug charges but while he was in court, his bag was searched and officials found cocaine.
So they re-arrested him, and he got 21 months in jail for it.
OR HOW ABOUT …..
Ryan Bautista, 34, and Leanne Hunn, 30, a Florida couple who a made police standoff longer, because the couple wanted to have sex one more time.
Bautista was wanted for several outstanding warrants but refused to come out of his trailer when a SWAT team arrived.
After a 6 and-a-half hour standoff, the couple told negotiators they’d agree to come out after they got done making love for the final time.
True to their word, they alerted negotiators when they were finished and they were handcuffed.
OKAY, ONE MORE …..
Ted Richards, a 56-year-old English man, who recently had a six-hour operation to remove both of his ears, so he’d look more like a parrot.
Richards has already had his face and eyeballs tattooed. The eccentric pet lover gave his severed ears to a friend who “will appreciate them” and now wants to find a surgeon prepared to turn his nose into a beak.
Oh, I’m sure this works great with the ladies.
