It began as a traffic stop for a motorist driving without headlights about 2 a.m. Thursday on William Street. Cape Girardeau officers said they found a pistol and a passenger with an outstanding warrant for first-degree robbery. Three occupants of the vehicle were taken to police headquarters where one says he had picked up 31-year old Darrell Montero Isaac, of Cape Girardeau on Themis Street, and Issac showed him a 9 mm handgun. Isaac was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm. In the early morning of Oct. 10, Isaac kicked in the bedroom door of the mother of his child and demanded she give him money. He threatened her with a baseball bat so she gave him her wallet. She claims he said next time he was going to kill her. From that incident, Isaac is charged with first-degree robbery and burglary.
