3 earthquakes rattled SE Missouri in a short amount of time overnight. The first was only a 2.9 which occurred at 12:50 a.m. The USGS says it was centered three miles south of Lilbourn and 22 miles south of Sikeston. The second was a 2.3 that hit just minutes later. This one was centered three miles south southeast of Lilbourn. Another 3.0 quake hit around 1:08 a.m. Preliminary reports show it was also centered three miles south southeast of Lilbourn. Then a 2.5 magnitude was registered at about 2:26 a.m. This was also three miles south of Lilbourn. No damage has been reported.
