Wednesday Perryville Police arrested a woman after conducting a traffic stop. K9 officer Christopher Bradford stopped the driver, Kelsey M. Dover on a vehicle and equipment violation. Bradford smelled marijuana and had suspicion about Dover being under the influence. When mentioning this, she sped away leading Bradford on a pursuit. Dover struck a concession stand and a refrigerating unit at the rear of a business. Dover fled the scene on foot but was taken into custody, she was transported to Perry County Hospital and then released to the Perry County Police Department. During investigation of Dover’s Vehicle officers found drugs and drug paraphernalia in her purse. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest by fleeing the scene and resisting arrest by fleeing for a felony, leaving the Scene of a motor vehicle accident, careless driving, possession of up to 35 grams of Marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, along with other charges. Her bond is set at $20,000 cash or surety.
