The Missouri Highway Patrol welcomes a new Promotes Sergeant Heath. The commanding officer of Troop E, of Poplar Bluff Captain Jeffrey N. Vitale (V IH – TAE – L – EE) announced the promotion of Sergeant Cameron M. Heath to the rank of lieutenant. The promotion went into effect Friday, April 1st. Lieutenant Heath is 29 year veteran with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, he was appointed to the Patrol on August 1st, 1986 as a member of the 58th Recruit Class. When graduating from Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, he was assigned to East Missouri State University. Troop E, Zone 8, and serving New Madrid and Pemiscot counties. In 1989, he moved to Troop E, Zone 5, serving Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, and Scott counties. In 1996, he was promoted to the rank of corporal and remained assigned to Zone 5. On February 15, 1999, he transferred to and was designated the zone supervisor of the newly created Major Crash Investigation Unit Team Four. In 1999, he was promoted to sergeant and remained assigned to the Major Crash Investigation Unit. Heath is a St. Louis native, he graduated from Chaffee High School in ’79 and attended college at South Missouri State University.
