A Sikeston woman faces felony drug and child endangerment charges in Scott County. 26-year-old Shantell S. Ardrey is charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, felony endangering the welfare of a child and misdemeanor of endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs. Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter says deputies responded on Tuesday to a residence on State Highway 472 near Sikeston for a disturbance. Numerous subjects were at the residence, owned by Ardrey, and all of them appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic. When deputies and Family Services, who were called due to a juvenile being present, entered the residence, they located a crystal-like substance, syringes containing a clear liquid and paraphernalia used to ingest methamphetamine. The crystal-like substance and liquid field tested positive for methamphetamine. The juvenile was placed with a family member by Division of Family Services. Ardrey was arrested and transported to the Scott County, where she remains in custody at the Scott County Jail with bond set by the court at $5,000 cash only.
