United Way of Southeast Missouri has announced the official opening of the application process for agencies and programs in the Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Scott City, Marble Hill, and Perryville areas seeking United Way funding. Applications are accepted until May 13th at 4 p.m. from all organizations that meet eligibility criteria. Those seeking and receiving funding must participate in a rigorous vetting process spearheaded by a panel of community volunteers, United Way staff and board members. Completing the Request for Proposal, RFP, is the first step for any entity seeking a three-year funding commitment from United Way. All applications must be submitted online via www.uwsemo.communityforce.com. RFP instructional meetings are underway with the last one scheduled for Tuesday, April 12th from 4-6 pm at United Way at 430A Broadway.
