Constitutional lawyer supports Religious Freedom Resolution
Tuesday, members of the House Emerging Issues Committee heard testimony on Senate Joint Resolution 39, also known as the ‘Religious Freedom Resolution.’ Constitutional Lawyer and Attorney General candidate Josh Hawley, who has spent his career fighting for religious liberty in Missouri and at the U.S. Supreme Court, offered testimony in support of the resolution. Hawley tells KZIM KSIM what the resolution means and why he supports it.
Hawley says he hopes and believes the resolution will be on the August or November ballot. He says there is no more important issue than the right to follow your own conscious because if religious liberty isn’t defended, other constitutional liberties won’t be defended.
