21-year-old Hannah Harmon of Perryville was hit by a car Monday while riding in a cross-country cycling trip near Panama City. The cyclist is currently recovering in a Panama City hospital. Harmon was struck by a car from behind when trying to make a left turn. She landed hard on her lower back and side. In a Facebook video, Harmon and her father, Shane, says CAT scans and X-rays did not show injuries. He father says she is still in quite a bit of pain, and there is some worry she may have a concussion. Harmon plans to rest a few days but continue riding. She began riding March 21 from Fruitland Community Church. The goal of the ride is to raise awareness against human trafficking. Harmon says a local Panama City bike shop had offered to help with repairs or a new bike.
