The Perryville Police Department has found a man accused of kidnapping his 2-year-old granddaughter. At 11:22 a.m., 58-year-old Danny C. Keeton was found by police on Hwy B in Perry County. Keeton was taken into custody on the outstanding arrest warrant. He is accused of barging into an apartment Sunday in the 700 block of Winkler Drive, taking his granddaughter out of her mother’s arms and driving off. He allegedly said he was going to California and told the mother she never would see her daughter again. He was taken into custody by Perry County sheriff’s deputies when he tried to bring the child to her biological father. Public information officer Jeri Cain says Keeton was released Monday because Perryville police’s 24-hour holding time expired before an arrest warrant was filed. Keeton has been charged with felony burglary, kidnapping and third-degree misdemeanor assault. Keeton’s bond is set at $25,000, cash only.
