39-year-old Carissa Nichols of Sikeston was arrested and charged yesterday/Tuesday for allegedly hiding her son Orlando “TJ” Sheron from police. Sheron became one of two suspects in the murder of James “Jay” Harris on April 17 and charged for murder the next day. The SEMO Major Case Squad and Sikeston’s Special Opertations Group arrested Sheran at a hotel in Caruthersville on April 18. Nichols allegedly took Sheron to the hotel and paid for the room. Nichols is charged with the felony of hindering prosecution. She is in custody and her bond is set at $10,000 cash only.
