Two men were arrested in Sikeston after a pursuit. On Tuesday morning, a Sikeston DPS Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle failed to yield and a short vehicle pursuit followed. The vehicle travelled to Agnes Street where one suspect ran from the car. The officer saw the man run from the vehicle with a jar full of what looked like marijuana. The driver remained in the vehicle and was taken into custody. The suspect was hiding under a vehicle when he was located. The jar contained over 3 ounces of marijuana, a felony amount. 39-year-old James R. Warfield of Sikeston was charged with a Class B felony of possession with intent to distribute and resisting arrest. He was given a $35,000 cash only bond. He also had two warrants for his arrest through the city of Sikeston. The driver that was taken into custody was 31-year-old Adam Mills of Sikeston. He was charged with a Class B felony of possession with intent to distribute and resisting arrest. He was given a $50,000 cash only bond.
