Troy LaRue, who celebrated the retirement of a judge a tad early by calling the judge a variety of choice four-letter words on Facebook, and then had to face him in court.
The local newspaper reported that Judge Allan Roberts would be retiring after nine years on the bench in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
LaRue assumed the judge would be gone before his court date for several traffic fines, so he slammed him on Facebook.
The judge had the last laugh when LaRue showed up in court and was told to read his post word-for-word in court.
LaRue apologized and the judge levied community service for his stupid deeds.
The judge was retiring, at the end of the month.
