About 2,900 Ameren customers in Williamson County had power outages Thursday morning. Ameren says the outages are in Herrin and Carterville. As of 4:15 a.m., about 770 customers were still in the dark. It is likely weather related. A tree feel on the line faulting the substation. Crews removed the tree and made repairs. Power was mostly restored by 4:45 a.m. Call Ameren if you are still in the dark.
