Southeast Missouri State University will affirm its past, define its purpose and look to the future when it inaugurates Dr. Carlos Vargas as the 18th president of university May 5th in the Show Me Center. The inauguration is scheduled for 2p-3:30 p.m. with a reception to follow till 5p.m. the event is open to the public. Keynote speaker President of California State University-San Bernardino, Dr. Tomas Morales. Southeast students Andrea Cox and Austin Cordell will open the ceremony with a welcome. Southeast’s Air Force ROTC Straight Arrow Drill Team will post the colors, and senior vocal performance major Andrew Thomas will sing the National Anthem.
