Anna Police have identified the man found dead in a garbage truck in Jonesboro on Friday. The preliminary autopsy report says the cause of death of 35-year-old Anthony Gilks from Anna, originally from Winthrop, Maine, appears accidental and consistent with a compression type injury. No foul play is suspected, but the investigation is still ongoing. The coroner says the truck had been in several towns before making its way to Jonesboro, so it is not clear where Gilks’ body originated. The body is not connected to the Jonesboro Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, where it was found.
