A Marble Hill woman approached a Bollinger County Sheriff’s deputy in a convenience store, telling him her husband had hit her in the head with a rock. A probable-cause affidavit says 33-year old Everett Wayne Gromer, of Marble Hill, was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree domestic assault. His bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety. A Deputy saw swelling and bruising around both the victim’s eyes, a cut above her right eye and swelling on her forehead. At her home on Bollinger County Road 326, the victim says Gromer arrived at the residence and was beating on the windows and making threatening statements. Gromer was located by Bollinger County deputies later Tuesday in a traffic stop. He told Mays he pushed the victim to the ground and she fell on a rock.
