The Jackson Police department says they served a search warrant in the 900 block of East Main Street yesterday/Monday. During the investigation, a quantity of a controlled substance, marijuana, a handgun and packaging material commonly used in the distribution of a controlled substance was found. 24-year-old Christopher Magers and 22-year-old Miranda Maddox, both of Jackson, were arrested and charged through the Cape Girardeau County Prosecutors Office. They were both charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and unlawful use of a weapon. Bond was set at $15,000 each.
