A man is facing murder charges after allegedly hitting and killing two people on purpose in Kennett on Friday. The Kennett Police department say officers were dispatched to a crash on Riggs street. The driver, identified as 25-year-old William Joshua Carter purposely rammed a vehicle driven by Heather Carter and then left the scene. They say he came back to the scene purposely hitting Heather and Aaron Campbell while they were standing outside her vehicle. The family says the two were high school sweethearts and had recently started dating again. Lieutenant John Higgins says William Carter and Heather Carter are married but were estranged. He is charged with two counts of second-degree murder. The crash is being investigated as a homicide.
