A Bertrand man wanted on warrants out of Scott and New Madrid counties was arrested Monday, the 3rd in Sikeston. 39 year old Jimmy Dodd’s Jr is charged with felony resisting arrest by fleeing in Scott County with a bond of $15,000 and felony second degree domestic assault out of New Madrid County with bond also set at $15,000. Southeast Elementary in Sikeston was placed on a brief lockdown, but Dodd’s was never found, according to previous reports. Public information officer Sgt. Jon Broom says officers with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety received a tip that Dodd’s would be a passenger in a gray car near west North Street. Officers pulled the car over at the train tracks, and Dodd’s was arrested without incident. He is being held in the Scott County Jail.
