Perryville police have found the Facebook page of a suspect showing his bloody knuckles and a post bragging about the assault he had just committed. Police arrested 24-year old Robert L. Casarez, of Perryville on Tuesday, and the Perry County Prosecuting Attorney’s office charged him with first-degree assault. His bond was set at $20,000 cash only. A probable-cause statement says Casarez walked up behind Michael White about 1:50 a.m. Sunday on a downtown Perryville street and hit White in the back of the head with his right fist. White fell and Casarez hit him five times in the face. White walked to the police station and was taken to a hospital. White’s injuries included his left eye swollen shut, a cut to his nose, a cut to his left eyebrow, a cut to his cheek, a concussion, fractured nose and cut on the back of his head. In the same Facebook post, Casarez said White groped him, leading to the assault.
