2 Charleston men were in connection with an armed robbery. On September 30th, Charleston Police was notified of an armed robbery at the Family Dollar on South Main Street, in Charleston. Authorities say a call came in about a man walking in the store with a handgun and stealing money. Officer located a suspected vehicle on Cleveland Street which failed to yield and continued out of city limits. The vehicle stopped in a bean field on County Road 401 where officers arrested a man and a woman transporting them to the Mississippi county jail. Officers arrested 36-year-old Curtis Farmer and 24-year-old Adrian Johnson, both of Charleston charging them with robbery. Farmer was also charged with resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and property damage. Both men have a bond of $250,000 cash only. The investigation is ongoing with formal charges pending against a 25-year-old Charleston woman.
