3 Van Buren Students received money in order to pursue their dreams. 18-year-old Laurent Dothage won a $500 Missouri Pacific Boosters Award to help pursue her studies at Three Rivers College. The award fund is administered by the Three Rivers Community College Foundation. Dothage graduated 5th in her class and earned all-conference and all- district honors. She plans on studying physical therapy, psychology or law after attending Three Rivers College for 2 years. 18-year-old Taloyre Keeney has won a $200 Illa Cook Award to help pursue her studies at Three Rivers College. Keeney graduated 6th in her class and plans to complete pre-physical therapy assistant training at Three Rivers, later earning a degree aas a physical therapist. 18 year old Courtney Crafton was rewarded a $1,000 Marianna Wolpers Memorial Scholarship. She ranked 7th in her graduating class and took part in numerous activities. Crafton plans to pursue a master’s degree and career in speech pathology.
