Thursday evening a Sikeston Department of Public Safety officer responded to the 800 block of Ruth Street in reference to a report of weapons/shots fired. The Standard Democrat reports that he found 10 people standing in front of a residence where a woman said she observed a vehicle with a male driver, lower the passenger window and fire four shots before fleeing. A vehicle description was given and shell casings were found. The suspect vehicle was located a short time later, and two people inside were arrested. The weapon matched the shell casings found in front of the Ruth Street residence, and the gun also matched a firearm reported stolen Monday from Re-Armm Inc. in Sikeston. An email from DPS says 25-year old De’ Qua O. Turner and 24-year old Antwan Davis, both of Sikeston are charged with Both Mr. Turner and Mr. Davis were arrested and charged with the felonies of unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm and stealing. Bond was set for the two at $25,000 cash only.
