Scott County Deputies initiated a vehicle stop on Highway HH that led to the arrest 22-year old Hernandez Evans, 32-year old Steve Thurman, and 24-year old Quincy Hines, all of Charleston, who are all charged with felony of delivery of a controlled substance. 35-year old Emily Walter, of Sikeston is charged with the felonies of delivery of a controlled substance and introduction of a controlled substance in a correctional facility and the misdemeanor of possession of drug paraphernalia. A Deputy called for a K-9 backup near North Ingram and “REX” positively alerted to the vehicle. Officers located two large plastic bags containing approximately 60 individual packages of synthetic marijuana. While searching Walter at the Scott County Jail, officers found two plastic bags containing about 18 grams of a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for meth. All four subjects were arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail. Evans was released after posting a $25,000 bond. Bond for Walter, Thurman and Hines was set at $5,000 cash or surety. Each of them also posted and were released.
