A man accused of breaking into a McCracken County home could spend the rest of his life in prison. WSIL TV reports that a grand jury indicted 33-year-old Robert Christopher Ingram, charging him with murder, second-degree burglary and terroristic threatening. Investigators say in January Ingram and another man, 39-year-old Toby Reed, broke into a home on Stiles Road near Paducah. The homeowner confronted and shot both men. Reed died at the scene and Ingram was flown to a Nashville hospital and later released. Investigators say Ingram threatened the homeowner an hour before he showed up with Reed and kicked in the man’s door. Authorities say under Kentucky law anyone who knowingly engages in behavior that could cause the death of another person can be charged with murder. Ingram turned himself in Friday night. His bond was set at $505,000. The homeowner will not be charged.
