The Sikeston Standard Democrat reports that at about 9:35 pm Poplar Bluff officers were sent to the 1100 block of North 11th Street. Where Cpl. Dusty Johnson found an unoccupied passenger car, with a broken window. In his report he had contacted the driver Antoine Johnson and passenger Lionel Matthews who stated that the vehicle had been shot at. Neither of them were hit but Mathews was taken to the hospital due to glass in his face and eyes. Both victims said they were at Hucks and had a confrontation with the suspected shooter 21 year old Dearius Vance about Johnson’s cousin. As the victims arrived at at Johnson’s house, a black charger shot at their vehicle. Officers later found Vance on April 12th and arrested him on suspected of first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. This investigation continues.
