TODAY’S GENIUS AWARD GOES TO . . . . . . .
Kari Marie Corwin, 25, who vandalized her boyfriend’s truck, only to learn it wasn’t his, it was his company’s.
After Corwin’s boyfriend called her “fat,” she took it out on his truck.
First she broke the windshield with a tire iron.
She then dented the hood with a lawn ornament and also smashed a window with a lawn sprinkler.
The big problem, the truck belonged to her boyfriend’s company, not him.
Her boyfriend’s company listed the damages at about $2,350.
Corwin was charged with criminal mischief of $1,000 or greater.
AND THEN THERE’S …..
Kevin Cullinane, 54, a Massachusetts man, who wrecked his Chevy Corvette not once, but twice, in seven minutes.
Cullinane was apparently trying to flee from a hit and run accident involving his late model Corvette when he got into a second wreck with his sports car a few minutes later.
Police were responding to the first accident when they got word of the second one involving Cullinane.
Luckily, no one was seriously injured.
Cullinane was charged with feeling from the scene of a crime, operating under the influence of drugs, and reckless operation.
OR HOW ABOUT …..
A farmer hauling liquid manure, who accidentally splashed part of his load on a man and daughter in a convertible.
Police say a 52-year-old man and his teen daughter were parked at the side of a road in Altomunster, Germany, when a truck carrying a load of liquid manure without a lid splashed them with a large quantity of the animal feces.
The damage to the car, an older-model Renault convertible, was estimated at about $5,000.
The case has been passed along to the liability insurance company of the farmer driving the truck.
OKAY, ONE MORE …..
A woman in Kansas, who climbed a tree to get her cat, got stuck, and then had to call firefighters to rescue both of them.
Firefighters arrived to find the woman and cat stranded on a branch about 16 feet up in the tree.
They were bought brought down safely.
