A Sikeston man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday that left five injured. 32 year old Jessica Williams of Sikeston, was driving westbound on County Road 408, four miles southeast of Benton, when she slid off the left side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. 33 year old Dustin Adams, was seriously injured and taken by Air Evac to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. Williams sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. 14 year old Jasmine Norwood, 13 year old Miranda Norwood, and 8 year old Harley Wilcoxin, all from Sikeston, received minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center. Neither Adams nor Williams were wearing a seatbelt.
