A Routine traffic Stop leads to a drug arrest. On Friday at about 11:49 P.M, deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a 2001 Nissan Altima on Ky Dam Road. Deputies approached the driver 45 year old Shatina Emerson, of Paducah who was found to be driving her vehicle while under the influence. While searching Emerson and her vehicle officers found a baggie containing methamphetamine and several paraphernalia items. She was arrested and charged with driving with no registration plates, Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs -1st offense, Possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine)1st degree, 1st offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
