A Marston man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
49-year-old Terry Thornton will be serving time for charges of being a “previously convict felon in possession of a firearm.”
In 2017, Thornton was pulled over for a traffic violation in New Madrid County.
Officers noticed the smell of marijuana in his car, and he was told to step out of the car.
In the vehicle officers found a semi-automatic pistol and several bags of marijuana.
Thornton’s criminal history includes convictions for first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, and first-degree assault.
