A building was damaged but no one was injured when a car crashed through the front window of a Cape Girardeau business Wednesday. Cape Girardeau police officer Jay Freeman said the driver of a white Kia Soul had been traveling west through the parking lot at Check Into Cash on William Street, then pulled into a parking spot in front of the building. When he stepped on the brake the car lurched forward. Capt. Ray Warner of the Cape Girardeau Fire Department said only one employee was inside the building at the time and she was unhurt. Warner says the building doesn’t seem to be structurally damaged.
