TODAY’S GENIUS AWARD GOES TO . . . . . . .
An Idaho teen, who is wanted by police for spray painting a promposal on the side of a cliff that’s sacred to Native Americans.
The yet-to-be-found teen spray painted the words, “Destiny, prom?” in giant blue and pink letters on the side of a cliff that’s located on federal land.
Police say whoever it is will be facing a $1,000 fine, six months in jail, and federal charges.
AND THEN THERE’S …..
Dominyk Antonio Alfonseca, 23, who robbed a Virginia bank and filmed the entire time so he could post it on Instagram.
Alfonseca’s video shows him handing the teller a note that said, “I need $150,000 right now!”
He also wrote, “Please tell police to take three to four minutes to get here, I would appreciate if you ring the alarm a minute after I am gone.
“Make sure the money doesn’t blow up on my way out [smiley face].”
The police caught him about 20 minutes after the robbery, and they plan on using the videos he posted as evidence.
OR HOW ABOUT …..
Gursham Gillett, 49, who stole a riding lawn mower from a Nebraska Wal-Mart by hopping on and driving it right off the lot.
Because riding lawn mowers are not the fastest getaway cars, cops caught him ten miles away, and arrested him for felony theft.
OKAY, ONE MORE …..
Frederick Warren, 43, who robbed a Subway sandwich shop in Chicago and then used his stolen loot to buy a sandwich at Subway’s competitor across the street.
Warren robbed the Subway then walked directly across the street to buy a sandwich at a Potbelly sandwich shop.
The cops caught him while he was still sitting in the Potbelly, finishing up his food.
He had $186 in cash on him and a knife, and he was arrested.
