A New Hamburg man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of domestic assault. 22-year old Corey T. Crump of New Hamburg was charged with second-degree domestic assault. On Saturday, a Scott County sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a woman who had been assaulted that morning. The deputy reported the victim had bruising to her face, a laceration to her elbow that required stitches, a laceration to her knee and several scratches on her back. The woman recently had been released from the hospital after being treated for her injuries and wanted to report Crump had assaulted her. The woman said Crump was her boyfriend and was mad at her because she wanted to go to sleep after he had come home. The victim said Crump pulled her out of the bed and threw her into a mirror. He then grabbed her by the throat and threw her into the wall. When the victim tried to get out the front door, Crump stopped her, picked her up, and threw her into the glass door, causing the laceration to her elbow. Crump later was placed under arrest and taken to the Scott County Jail. Crump was released on $1,500 cash-only bond from the Scott County Jail and was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim.
