A third suspect is sought in a Kennett shooting…
Police are looking for a third suspect in an armed robbery in Kennett. Kennett Police Captain Tim Trowbridge says it happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday at Curt’s Grocery on Kennett Street. Two men armed with pistols entered the store and demanded money. When the store owner pulled out his own gun, both he and the alleged robbers began firing, hitting the owner. The gunmen had a getaway car waiting. Police located the car and chased them across the Arkansas state line until the suspects crashed near Blytheville. The suspects were firing at police while fleeing but no officers were hurt. Two are now in custody and police are looking for a third. The store owner was flown to a Memphis hospital. No word on his condition at this time.
