TODAY’S GENIUS AWARD GOES TO . . . . . . .
Pamela Vanorsdale, 50, a Florida woman who hired a hit man to kill the person who gave her grandkids lice.
Vanorsdale was furious when her grandkids came home with lice and blamed her daughter’s boyfriend for giving it to them.
So she called her former son-in-law and asked him to “pop” the victim in the head and chest.
The son-in-law told the cops, and Vanorsdale was arrested for criminal solicitation to commit murder.
Now she’s telling the police it was all a joke.
AND THEN THERE’S …..
Stephen Ruth, 42, who tampered with red light cameras on Long Island and posted it on YouTube, and has been arrested for … tampering with red light cameras.
Ruth apparently got tired of getting tickets after trying to beat red lights at intersections with cameras affixed to them.
So Ruth armed himself with a painter’s pole and pushed the red light camera’s face upwards to the sky.
He then posted his videos to YouTube, which got the eye of police detectives.
He was arrested and charged with four counts of criminal tampering.
OR HOW ABOUT …..
John Adams, 49, a Florida man who punched his 73-year-old mom after she woke him up to ask him for help using her cellphone.
He apparently didn’t like to be bothered while he was sleeping and struck his mother.
She called police and Adams had another wake-up call, this time from deputies.
OKAY, ONE MORE …..
Spencer Peak, 21, and an unidentified accomplice, who burglarized a home in Pennsylvania, then decided to camp out in the victim’s garage.
Police say the homeowner found a glass jar containing cash missing, some furniture moved, and cabinets opened.
She also found her safe on the back porch, her purse missing, and her basement door forced open.
During the investigation officers found the burglars asleep in a garage.
Peak was arrested, but the woman found with Peak hasn’t been charged.
