TODAY’S GENIUS AWARD GOES TO . . . . . . .
Headline News host of “The Daily Share,” Yasmin Vossoughian, who didn’t notice that her guest wasn’t talking about Edward Snowden, but was talking about Edward Scissorhands.
Vossoughian was talking via Skype to Jon Hendren, who was supposed to be a Snowden supporter.
But instead of talking about the guy who leaked top-secret info and was granted asylum in Russia, the comedian was discussing Johnny Depp’s character in the Tim Burton movie, and she didn’t seem to notice.
Looks like there may be a an opening in the screening department at Headline News.
AND THEN THERE’S …..
Gary Victor, 51, who though a Maxi Pad for a mask would conceal his identity, but was wrong.
To make matters worse, Victor forgot to apply this “mask” before peeking in the front window of the battery store.
That peek was caught on security cameras.
Police were quickly able to identify Victor and place him under arrest.
OR HOW ABOUT …..
Eugene Hoyer, 51, whose meth binge ended when his gun in his waistband went off, and ended up shooting himself in the genitals.
Hoyer said he was hallucinating that “Mexicans in the trees” were going to attack his neighbor.
So he tried to kick in her door to save her, but as he raised his leg to kick the door, the gun in his waistband went off and he shot himself in the genitals.
He was treated at a hospital and arrested.
OKAY, ONE MORE …..
Stewart Butler, 27, who tried to shoot his mom and threatened to kill her kitten too, all because she asked him to do some chores.
Butler’s mother told police she went into her son’s room and started arguing with him about chores she had told him to do earlier in the day.
He got angry, grabbed a 12-gauge shotgun and said he was going to kill her and her kitten.
Butler is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder and discharging a firearm in public, as well as possible animal cruelty charges.
