251-year old Travis T. Tyler, of Hazelwood turned himself in to the Jackson County, Illinois, Sheriff’s Department on Monday. Carbondale Police report that Tyler, a Southeast Missouri State University student, is charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm after a shooting March 27 in Carbondale. Two men allegedly involved with the shooting that occurred at a party in the 400 block of West Walnut Street are in custody: 21-year old John F. Ingram, of Webster Groves and 21-year old Dwayne J. Dunn, of St. Louis, who also are Southeast students. Ingram faces the same charges as Tyler. Dunn has been charged with reckless discharge of a firearm. A fourth suspect, 21-year old Daniel D. Holmes, of Carbondale is charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm from the same incident. Carbondale police report he still is at large. Early March 27 police found one victim, Nehemiah Greenlee, who was suffering from a gunshot wound that was described as not life-threatening. They then found the body of 41-year old Tim Beaty, of Carbondale who was killed by a stray bullet while he was inside his home. There have not been any charges linked to Beaty’s death.
