Three Scott County inmates face additional assault charges after allegedly beating up another inmate earlier this month. 44-year-old Stevie Cordale Lott and 24-year-old Steven Dominique Davis of Sikeston were each charged Friday with felony first degree assault, and 25-year-old Christian Lee Conley of Sikeston was charged Friday with felony second degree assault. The probable cause statement by Deputy Sheriff Nathan Rapert says about 9 a.m. May 5, he responded to the Scott County Jail in Benton in reference to an assault. Rapert reviewed the footage from the jail security system and the video showed an inmate walked past Davis. Davis then appeared to follow him. At that time, Conley and Lott approached the inmate and Davis. Lott appeared to kick the inmate two times while Davis and Conley were continually striking the inmate with close fists. Rapert says Lott backed away while Davis and Conley continued to strike the inmate while he was on the floor. Davis allegedly appeared to have the inmate in a headlock while Conley continually struck the other inmate in the midsection with closed fists.
