A Sikeston woman was arraigned today/yesterday after allegedly hitting her relative in the face. MissouriCaseNet says 20-year-old Manniyah Therese Goodwin of Sikeston is charged with misdemeanor third degree domestic assault, assault of a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. A probable-cause affidavit says about 2:15 p.m. Friday, Sikeston DPS Officer John C. Caudle responded to a residence in the 100 block of Pin Oak Drive, where he made contact with a 64-year-old female who said her relative, Goodwin, had been at her residence prior to his arrival. The woman says Goodwin was upset and that she wanted the relative to give her $20. The woman refused and Goodwin grabbed the woman’s purse. The woman says she tried to take back the purse, but Goodwin became irate and started yelling at her. The affidavit says the woman asked Goodwin to leave, she refused and started hitting her in the face with her fists.
